So that happened...

Well, here we are at my first blog entry, 3:25am, Tuesday morning and raining outside.

I didn't want to start these blogs on a painful subject, but if it helps someone, then it will be worth it. The painful subject I am referring to is gout. Yep, this big tiger had the unfortunate luck of being the hereditary receiver of gout. A type of inflammatory arthritis with pain so severe, its been quoted as being worse then labor pains, but being male, I can't confirm this.

This type of arthritis comes from a build of uric acid in your system that gets deposited in your joints. These deposits then turn to crystals which causes the extreme pain and inflammation. There are several pharmaceuticals available to help with lowering uric acid, but they all come with possibly severe side effects, I'm not a fan of big pharma drugs anyway, they all have some kind of side effects. I prefer good vitamins myself and I will do another post about the power of good vitamins over prescriptions meds.

Which brings me to the point of this blog. I did find a good vitamin that has pretty much knocked out the gout pain in about 3 days. When I would get really bad flare up, where the pain was unbearable and I could not take a single step, I would get a refill of Prednisone and that took anywhere from 4-6 days. This vitamin is combination of fruit extracts and herbs and has really done a great job so far.

If you are on any medications, be sure to research any potential interactions with each ingredient or contact your doctor. I, myself, am not a doctor nor do I play one on tv. Just relaying some personal experience, hoping it will help someone.

I have a link to the exact item in the product links below.

Take care all. *hugs*
